Excellent, June 9, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: 4x100W @ 4 Ohm TK2050 Class-D Audio Amplifier Board (Electronics) Firstly, you really want to run this thing off about 24v, into 4-ohm speakers. Running off 12v is really not making use of it properly.
It runs fairly warm even when silent; quiescent power consumption quite high.
It sounds fantastic; crisp, clean, powerful; worlds apart from the cheap "400w SUPER POWER" amps that really have ~15watt amp chips inside.
This is the real deal; the (Tripath) chip datasheets tell you all you need to know.
Good muting on power on/off; no clicks or pops even without speaker relays.
Comes with speaker binding posts, several ways to connect power/signals, and even some RCA cables. Even in a nice box!
Very impressed; at $44 this is a bargain.
If you want a compact, great sounding app that really does what it says, get this, hook it up to a 24v supply (it's rated so it can handle 2 car batteries in series; say 26-28v) and some decent quality 4-ohm speakers.

1 of 2 people found the following review helpful Perfect For HTPC, June 20, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: 4x100W @ 4 Ohm TK2050 Class-D Audio Amplifier Board (Electronics) I had an Lg 1000watt 5.1 Surround sound system, was very nice very loud, I recently built an HTPC and I wanted to do away with all the other equipment, going for a clean look, The only problem I ran into was being able to use the LG speaker system with the HTPC. The HTPC is equiped with a very nice ASUS 7.1 surround sound card, but pc's are not able to send enough volts through the sound card to power a regular speaker, thats why when you hook up speakers to your pc, they also have an electrical plug too. That is where this amp board comes into play. I bought 2 of the sure 4x100w @ 4ohm boards and two power supplies that were recommended for them. built a custom sub box placed the power supplies inside the sub box and mounted the amp boards on the back, hooked up the pc to the amp boards using the supplied 3.5mm plug y splitter into two rca, then hooked up the speakers, this system is in a 12x14 room and the sound (maybe not as loud as the original LG) definetly has better quality. 0 of 1 people found the following review helpful Super Quality Amp - Car Audio Ready -, August 22, 2010 This review is from: 4x100W @ 4 Ohm TK2050 Class-D Audio Amplifier Board (Electronics) i used this in my truck when i went looking for a car amplifier. i was in the market for a 4 channel amp to accent my new head unit and aftermarket 6x8''s in my f-150. when i saw that i would be paying through my teeth ($350-$400) for a 4x100 watt amp, i almost died. then came along this little beauty. it really is a diamond in the ruff though. what you see here is what you get. so i spent a lazy weekend builing a box out of a clipboard like fibreboard, speaker box carpeting, poly tack spray glue, a hot glue gun, a hanfull of screws and some spare diy junk . i made a little plexyglass window and added some leds with a sound activated driver(<-DIY junk), and now i have a sweet looking car amp. i ran two pair of rca and two 10 gauge copper wires with a inline fuse box to it's new home under the rear bench and ran the speaker cable through the car to the doors. i plug in my ipod, an viola. the sound is like music to my ears, pun somewhat intended. this truly does belong in the house...
